RESEARCH PROJECTS
Got Psi?
On the heels of our fascinating January webinar, "Psi and Psychic Awareness," the February newsletter of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) offers several psi research projects that may be of interest to you.
Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS)

The Institute of Noetic Sciences is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individual and collective transformation through consciousness research, transformative learning, and engaging a global community in the realization of our human potential.

The IONS goal is to create a shift in consciousness worldwide—where people recognize that we are all part of an interconnected whole and are inspired to take action to help humanity and the planet thrive.

Got Psi? is an online test to check the extent of your psi skills. PsiQ is a suite of games downloadable to iPhone and iPads, which was developed by IONS Research Director Dean Radin. Other endeavors relate to mediumship, precognition, and a photon study of intentionality. Don't miss the fun!
Do you wonder about your PsiQ?
The IONS Innovation Lab has just released its first app — containing tests for certain psychic abilities — which you can download on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

We named the app "PsiQ" as a tongue-in-cheek nod to "IQ" tests, but the app itself is certainly not a complete test. The dreamchild of IONS' Chief Scientist Dean Radin, PsiQ is designed as both an experiment and a suite of games. From the standpoint of the IONS Science Team, the purpose of the app is to get data from tens (hundreds?) of thousands of people on three different tasks -- a conscious precognition task (Hidden Gurus, where you select where the next guru will appear), a nonconscious precognition task (Future Feelings, where you select the positive or negative mood type of each picture and words displayed in the future influence your behavior), and a conscious mind-over-matter task (Heart Quest, where you try to influence a random number generator to give a robot character a glowing heart).

When you first log in, you'll be asked some demographic and personality questions — this is so that eventually we may be able to correlate performance to these factors. Finally, when you want to see how you've done over time, you can go to the Options button and look at your score in each of the games as well as the top 5 high scores across all players.

We spent a year making the app, some of which time was in collaboration with Consciousness Hacking. Funding was provided by the Bial Foundation as well as several generous IONS donors: the Hummingbird Fund, Geoff & Leslie Oelsner, Maureen Pelton and Charlie Hartwell.

Please enjoy!
